About Gayle

I was born &​ raised in Connecticut, right down the street from Martha Stewart and Paul Newman (It was way more run-of-the-mill than it sounds). One of 6 kids, dad was a Navy Commander and Mom was a small business owner. We spent winters traveling to Vermont to ski and snowboard, and summers on the beach of Long Island sound. The Commander had a boat too of course, so there was a lot of deep sea fishing and exploring of nearby islands. Winter sports and exploring new places, are my favorite activities to this day. I always dreamed of going to school in Boston so when I came of age I attended Northeastern University and studied Business Communications. As I began my third year there, the fateful tragedy of 911 happened, I had lost a dear friend on flight 11, and it made me think entirely differently. I decided to apply to Fort Lewis here in Durango CO and study Art, so I packed up and came out just a month afterwards. I graduated with a BFA in photography and design, a fiancé, two dogs, and a new house three years later​.  Through the process of buying my own property I realized my passion for Real Estate, my Realtor at the time ​even told me I should go get my license, and so I did. That was 2006, I have been helping sellers sell, buyers buy, and loving every minute of it, since then. My business and artistic backgrounds were a great combination for marketing my listings and getting the best price and terms for my clients. I learned a lot in this business, having worked through the boom & through the recession, as there is no substitute for experience. I can navigate any market confidently...while raising a little ​family of my own ​to boot. My Husband and I have been doing​ life together since 2006, we ​are proud parents to two kids and a very lucky Mini Aussie, and we plan on living in this beautiful town forever. We like to camp, hike, fish, snowboard, paddle board, the list of outdoor activities we get to enjoy year-round here seems endless​ since the Durango lifestyle has so much to offer, but most of all there is no beating that we have the very best of all four seasons. Air quality, scenery, the town culture, art, music, and good food makes Durango the best home base for us. We feel like we live at vacation and we are so grateful.
